Welcome to Insider Deals! Everyone loves a great deal and the Internet and social media make access to finding deals easier for you! Through sites like Living Social, Groupon, and Rochester Perks (to name a few), you can receive incredible deals daily and they will usually be specific to your area.
It’s not ROI, it’s ROE. There is a huge Return on Engagement. What that return is, can only be discovered if you don’t do it. They don’t call this Web 2.0 for nothing. The old, static websites are a thing of the past, or should be. It’s time to engage your customers or potential customers. If you do, your returns will be far greater.
Over the next year, you will be hearing about this term so much that it will make you sick. This is because it is become very important. Google is monitoring sites for signs of social signals. Google is trying to find out if your blog visitors are using the its in Hebrew buttons to share content that they find interesting. Then, they’re factoring that into their algorithm to decide where you rank.
This is the social value quotient. Because my recommendation has more clout than if my “friends” found Rick themselves, ROI is really a thing of the past. Trying to measure an interaction or an engagement is hard to do. I may tell my 20,000 “friends” about Rick, or I might just tell 1. That 1 person I tell may tell their 5,000 “friends”.
I found the stories I was most drawn to deal with women’s issues, particularly self-identity; so writing women’s fiction was a natural fit for me. I love writing about characters who connect or reconnect with someone from their past, whether they are friends, family members, or long lost loves.
Use color in your marketing materials. Love it or hate it, Christmas is a bounty of bold colors. Vibrant lights, tinsel, wrapping paper and bows create holiday hyper-drive.
On a final note…as the year winds down, let’s not take our eyes off the prize. When plenty of folk are slowing their business efforts down for the holidays, shopping and all the other diversions that happen over the following 7 weeks of summer or so – this is the time for you to be smashing the petal to the metal. Purchasers are spending holes in their credit cards right now…the only question is, how much of that pie will end up in your pocket?
